Babyjoggers:
According to the DLV rules babyjoggers are not allowed on the race course.
Breakfast Race
The annual beginners' breakfast race (approx. 6.5 km - start and finish on the marathon fairground) takes place on Saturday. Beginners have been practicing with experienced LLC Marathon Regensburg coaches for 8 weeks. After the race there is a breakfast party (for a fee) in the marathon tent. Everybody (also NordicWalker) can participate, no registration required.
BYO
Due to organisational reasons we can only offer this service to ambitious runners (marathon: men under 2:45, women under 3:00) and to runners who need special catering for medical reasons. You can bring your own beverages (plastic bottles only) to the information booth on the marathon fairground right next to the start not later than 7 a.m. on Sunday, 05.06.2011. Your own supplies will be deposited up front at the catering stations. The organizer is not liable for loss or damage.
Camp Ground
Mobile homes can lease a lot on the nearby camp ground "AZUR" (approx. 300 m from the start/finish area)
Clothing - Safekeeping and Handing Out
is located on a grassy area next to the marathon fairground in designated trucks
Fastening of the ChampionChip®
The ChampionChip® must be fastened to the shoe only.
Catering Points
Every 5 km there is a catering point plus additional water points. From km 21 on there will be bananas and energy bars.
Certificate
Various options:
1. Approx. 30 min after finishing you can pick up a free fast printout certificate near the chip return point.
2. Certificate can be printed out on Monday, 06.06.2011 by clicking on your name on our website/results 2011.

Chip Timing
You can buy the chip. You can order the chip from mika timing GmbH (please also see ChampionChip®) for 28 EUR. You can also rent the chip without previous order when you pick up your number bib. you have to pay 31 EUR deposit for the chip. When you return the ChampionChip® (until 4 p.m. on Sunday, 05.06.2011) you get 25 EUR back. If you do not return the chip, it is assumed to be sold. Chip rental is directly next to the bib number pickup point near the marathon fairground.
If you already have a ChampionChip® , please quote your personal barcode (7 digits without hyphen) on your registration form (ChampionChip® cannot be transferred)

Dropout Runners:
If you have to drop out, you can take a free bus behind the last runners (sweeper bus) which will take you back to the start/finish.
Disqualification
• for unsportsmanlike and undisciplined behaviour
• for illegal support by others, e.g. pacemaker on a bike
• for folding, shortening or covering the number bib
• for short-cutting the race course
• for not running over the control mats on the race course
Escorting of Runners
Runners must not be escorted with bicycles, skateboards, push bikes or similar vehicles. This applies to all Regensburg Marathon 2011 events.

Gross and Net Time:
Gross time is understood to be the time which elapses between starter's gun and finishing. Net time is understood to be the time when the ChampionChip® records the crossing of the starter line. Your net time is determined by the difference between crossing the starter and finisher line.

Massage
You can get a free massage in the massage tents beside the fairground right next to the finish area.
Medal
All finishers receive a medal (according to their race) after having crossed the finishing line.

Medical care in the start and finish area is guaranteed. We suggest that you seek medical help even in case of minor physical indispositions.
Membership in a Sports Club
You do not need to be a member of a sports club of you want to participate in a Regensburg Marathon event.

Like in previous years there will be a number of music groups along the race course who will cheer you up!
Pacemaker Service
We offer professional pacemakers with the following finishing times:
Marathon: 2:59:00, 3:14:00, 3:29:00, 3:44:00, 3:59:00
Half Marathon: 1:29:00, 1:44:00, 1:59:00
You will be able to tell the pacemakers by their balloons and yellow t-shirts with the specified finishing times.
Parking
On Saturday you can park your car around the marathon fairground. On Sunday there is a limited number of parking lots on specified areas in a distance of approx. 2 km around the marathon area. There will be a regular shuttle bus between tha park & ride carpark at Köwe-Center and between Stadler parking garage. Please pay attention to the posted signs and detailed information on that particular weekend.
Pasta Party
Our Pasta Party takes place on the marathon fairground on the Infineon parkground near Westbad.

Pick up of Starter Documents / Bag:
You can authorize a person to pick up your starter documents/bag. This person will have to present your registration confirmation and an authorization or your ID/passport at the pick up counter.
Public Transport
On Sunday, 05.06.2011 you can take bus No. 6 and 11 RVV from the train station to (near) the start and finish area. Last bus approx. 6 a.m. from the train station. There will be a shuttle service from the parking garages / car parks Köwe-Center and Zweiradcenter Stadler.

You can register online, by mail or fax. You cannot register over the phone.
Registration Confirmation:
You will receive an email registration confirmation shortly after your online registration. Your debited bank account is proof of your registration for the Regensburg Marathon 2011. Your name in our starter list (www.regensburg-marathon.de) also serves as registration confirmation.
Registration Fee
Registration fee plus all additional orders is directly debited from your account or debited via credit card (plus 3 Euro credit card fee).
There is no compensation entitlement after the registration has been carried out.
Registration Deadline
Registration deadline is 25 May 2011. Please also look under Late Registration (by mail and online)
Result Lists
Result lists will be displayed on Sunday, 05.06.2011 from 3 p.m. on the marathon fairground near the information booth. From Sunday evening on you will find the preliminary final results on our website www.regensburg-marathon.de.
Marathon / half marathon objections against the result are allowed not later than 30 minutes after the results have been pronounced (acc. to the DLV regulations).

Wearing of helmets is mandatory. We suggest additional protective gear (hand, elbow and knee protection).

Start
In order to cross the starting line in a fast, smooth and effective way, we have arranged three separate starter blocks for marathon and half marathon. Please join the starter block which is printed on your number bib. Would those with late registration please join the appropriate block.
Start Formation
Start formation is done in three blocks. Your block is printed on your number bib.
Marathon
Block A marathon time under 03:30 hours
Block B marathon time under 04:00 hours
Block C all other runners, also first-time runners.
Half Marathon

Starter Documents / Bag
You receive your starter documents/bag after submittal of your registration confirmation in the service center for runners on the marathon fairground Infineon car park (Wernerwerkstrasse / Messerschmittstrasse).

T-Shirts
You can order your own Marathon T-Shirt (Unisex) together with your registration (12.00 €) made of top quality sports material. The T-shirts will be handed out from Saturday on over a separate counter upon submittal of your tear-off voucher, printed on your starter bib.
Toilets
In addition to the Westbad toilets there will be many Dixi toilets in the start and finish area. There are also toilets placed along the race course.
Upper Limit for the Number of Participants
There is no upper limit for the number of participants in the Regensburg Marathon races.
