Registration is only possible online at via our official partner for timekeeping and data processing mika:timing.
Date of registration is the valid date. Registration is considered valid on receipt of the completed online registration form, agreement with the direct debit mandate and final receipt of payment. In the case of minors, the legal guardian must agree with participation and the Conditions of Participation. By registering, entrants agree with the Conditions of Participation.

The deadline for online registration is Sunday 26 May 2019

Confirmation of registration
Entrants will receive confirmation by email directly after registering, as well as final confirmation and start number after the online registration deadline .

The entry fee will not be refunded in the case of non-attendance and cannot be used to register next year.

Late registration
Late registration is possible at an increased entry fee (-> Entry fees) from 9.30 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday 27 May 2017 at the late registration desk at the starting number issue station on the Infineon car park.

You can register for the half marathon, three-quarter marathon and full marathon between 6 and 7.30 a.m. on Sunday.

Late registration for the quarter marathon is possible on Sunday until 10.30 a.m.

Late entrants cannot be included in the Siemens Prize.

Change of registration                      
Change of registration before the closing date (21 May 2017) is only possible for a fee and for a shorter distance than that originally registered.

Late changes of registration on Saturday and Sunday are only possible for a fee and during the late registration period.

The fee for change of registration is €5 per registration. The difference to the original registration fee cannot be refunded.

Registrations cannot be transferred to another person.

Late entrants





Online registrations are to be paid by direct debit. Entrants must specify valid and correct bank details. The organiser will bill entrants for any charges occurring for return debit notes caused by inaccurate account details, insufficient funds or withdrawal from participation.

The entry fee will not be refunded if an entrant does not participate, no matter what the reason.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three women and the first three men from:

  • Dreiviertel Marathon (3/4 marathon)
  • Bischofshof Halbmarathon (1/2 marathon)
  • Donau-Einkaufszentrum Viertelmarathon  (1/4 marathon)

Special prize for the winner of the Immobilien Zentrum marathon
The winners of the Immobilien Zentrum Marathon will each win a 3-day holiday (half board) worth €1000 in the 4-star Hotel Cendevaves in St. Christina/Gröden.

Issue of entry documents
Start packs and numbers will be issued in the large marquee in the Infineon car park, Messerschmittstrasse / Wernerwerkstrasse 2, 93049 Regensburg, after confirmation of registration has been shown. Valid proof of identification must be shown if you have lost or forgotten your confirmation of registration.

Entry documents will not be sent by post.

Latest finishing time
is 2 p.m. for all entrants

The “sweeper” will end the entire marathon as “last man” at 2 p.m. All entrants still running behind this “last man” will be excluded. German road traffic regulations (StVO) will apply to those behind the “last man”.

Two broom wagons will drive alternately when required.


Official timekeeping and data processing will be carried out by mika:timing.
For this purpose, entrants will require a ChampionChip.
Participation is not possible without this chip!

If you already have a yellow ChampionChip, enter the 7-digit chip number into the relevant box of the online registration form.

If you do not have a chip you can do the following when registering:

     a) rent a chip for €6
     b) buy a chip for €31

If you need the rented chip again for another competition and wish to keep it, mika:timing will subsequently charge your account with an additional €25 (you automatically agree to this when registering).

Late entrants
will get a blue rental ChampionChip for €6.

Returning the rental chip 
is possible on Sunday 02 June 2019 until 2.30 p.m. at the start number issue desk!


The marathon will be run in 2 circuits: from the west of the city, through the historical old town in the east of Regensburg, and then back to the Infineon car park.
The half-marathon will be one circuit only.
Runners of the quarter marathon will turn around at the Ostentor gateway (in the east of the city) and head back to the Infineon car park.
Runners of the three-quarter marathon run the route of the half marathon and the quarter marathon.

Runners may change to the half marathon or the three-quarter marathon during their race. They will subsequently be judged accordingly within the half marathon or the three-quarter marathon.

The route
The quick, flat route does not increase in altitude. Approximately 1.2 kilometres of the route are on cobbled streets in the old town area.

There will be no parking spaces available at the event site.
On Sunday, please use the following car parks and their shuttle buses:

With the train
Entrants arriving by train can board a shuttle bus at 7.25 a.m., which will take them as near as possible to the start/finish area. The shuttle bus stop will be signposted at the main exit.

Road blocks
Please note that, due to the competition, the relevant route and the old town area will be blocked off for normal traffic and buses from 8 a.m. Please arrive in plenty of time to be punctual for the start! The road blocks will be gradually removed as the competition ends, but this may take up until 2.30 p.m. in certain areas. Pedestrians and cyclists may cross the route with the permission of a steward and depending upon the number of runners approaching.

There will be a photo service for all runners at the start and finish lines and along the route.
Photos can be subsequently ordered via Sport Online.



Showers will be available to runners in the nearby Westbad swimming centre.

Please ensure that you are fit and healthy before starting your marathon. For your own safety, we recommend you undergo a health check at your doctor’s.

Classification is according to age group in line with DLO classification. Men and women will be judged separately.

Clothes bags
Runners will be given a clothes bag upon collection of their start number. During the race this will be stored at a designated place and can be retrieved upon showing of your start number. The organiser cannot be held liable for loss of deposited items.

Runners may not be accompanied by anybody with skateboards, roller-skates, bicycles or similar during any of the Regensburg Marathon races. Dogs are also prohibited.

On Sunday, a free massage by employees of the Döpfer School in Regensburg will be available in specific areas.

Pasta party
Each entrant will receive a voucher for a portion of pasta when collecting the start number. The voucher can be redeemed on Saturday or Sunday.

Toilets will be available in the Infineon car park and the start/finish area.
Mobile toilets will also be available at the provision points along the route.

Runners are responsible for booking and paying for their hotels themselves.

will be available for the following finish times: Half marathon: 1.30, 1.45 and 2.00 Marathon: 3.00, 3.15, 3.30, 3.45 and 4.00. They will be recognisable by their vests and balloons marked with the respective finish time.


Registration / Participation / No-show / Dropping out
Participation is only possible after payment of the entrance fee. Payment of the entrance fee is only possible by online registration and by means of the stated payment methods of the external service partners using direct debit or PayPal. False details, insufficient funds and administrative costs resulting therefrom will be charged to the respective entrant. Registration is binding. In the case of a no-show, entrance fees or vouchers for entering another event will not be refunded/issued. The organiser is not liable for compensation in the case of force majeure or if authorities order changes to or discontinuance/cancellation of the event.

By registering for and participating in the Regensburg Marathon, the entrant recognises and understands the non-liability of the organiser, sponsors, cooperation partners and their agents for damage and/or injuries of all kinds. This also applies to accidents and loss of personal possessions. The organiser is not liable for health risks to runners in connection with the Regensburg Marathon. The organiser is not liable for damages caused by himself/herself, his/her representatives or agents.

Physical condition
Entrants are obliged to be in good health and good physical condition. Paramedics / qualified staff have the right to pull an entrant out of the race if he/she is showing signs of damage to his/her health. Regardless of compensation claims from third parties, the entrant agrees to bear costs for necessary medical treatment in the case of injuries, accidents and/or sickness within the framework of the event.

Image copyrights
The entrant agrees that the transferred data entered with his/her registration, the photos made of him/her within the framework of the marathon, film recordings and interviews for radio, television, advertising, books, telemedia and photo-mechanical reproductions may be used remuneration free.

Data protection
The entrant agrees to the use of data entered when registering (name, year of birth, club) for the processing of the (electronic) starter lists. All other data will be mechanically stored. We guarantee not to transfer aforementioned data to third parties. Online registration is processed by external partners whose data protection policies have been referred to.

The entrant guarantees the accuracy of the entered registration data. (In the case of minors, the legal guardians must agree with the entrant’s participation and with these Conditions of Participation.)
